Dark Citrine

#8b835b

Dark Citrine has more gray than gold in it: a mid-value olive drab with a soft yellow undertone, the color of lichen on stone or a weathered field jacket. Its quietness makes it a good foil. Peach Red and Cinnamon Rufous both blaze against it, Light Mauve makes the pairing dusty and romantic, and Calamine BLue introduces a cool aqua note that keeps the olive from looking muddy. It reaches 3.8:1 on white, enough for large text, and black type on it gets 5.5:1. Try it for garden-room walls, waxed-cotton goods, or muted packaging.
