Terms of Use
espectro.dev is a totally free, non-commercial project devoted to popularizing the inheritance of Sanzo Wada and bringing his aesthetic to the world. We do not sell anything. We do not claim any proprietary or intellectual property rights over the colour data or the combinations presented on this site.
Public domain
The works from which this colour data is derived—including A Dictionary of Colour Combinations (and related publications by Sanzo Wada, 1883–1967)—entered the public domain in Japan on 31 December 2017 (50 years after the author’s death) and are in the public domain in the United States and in other jurisdictions that follow a similar term. We do not assert any author or neighbouring rights over that content.
Data and credits
The JSON dataset used on this site is sourced from mattdesl/dictionary-of-colour-combinations, which is available under the MIT license. That project in turn credits the original compilation by Dain M. Blodorn Kim (dblodorn/sanzo-wada). By using espectro.dev you agree to use the site in good faith and in accordance with applicable law.
API and MCP
Use of the public JSON API and the MCP (Model Context Protocol) endpoint is anonymous. We do not use cookies or collect any personal data from users of the API or MCP. We do not track, store, or sell your data when you call these endpoints.
“As is” / no warranty
espectro.dev and its data are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee accuracy, availability, or fitness for any particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, API, or MCP.
