Hydrangea Red
#a94151
Hydrangea Red is a muted berry-red, deeper than the pinks and a little greyed, like the faded heads of a hydrangea at the end of summer. Its only combination in the book places it with Sulphine Yellow and Salvia Blue, an unusual trio where a mustardy gold and a soft periwinkle frame the red. White text over it reaches 5.9:1, comfortably legible for regular text, so it can also serve as a heading color. Consider it for floral textiles, book covers, ceramic glazes or a garden-themed print.
