Mars Brown Tobacco
#653514
Cured tobacco leaf and dark caramel are close references for Mars Brown Tobacco, a deep, warm brown with a russet glow. The Mars pigments are synthetic iron oxides, and this one has their dense, earthy opacity. Its only combination in the book places it beside Night Green, a bright, grassy yellow-green, and the result is lively: a dark, woody ground with a sharp spring color on top, like new shoots against turned soil. At 10.1:1 on white it is strong enough for body text. Use it for wooden floors, leather armchairs, and coffee packaging.
