Old Rose
#d46d7a
Old Rose is a mid-toned, slightly smoky pink-red, like dried rose petals pressed in a book. Its lightness of 59 and moderate red lean give it more depth than the pastels, without the punch of a true red. Wada places it with White for a classic, almost Victorian valentine effect, with Rainette Green for a muted garden feel, and with Lilac for a soft, romantic blend. At 3.4:1 on white it is acceptable for large headings but not small text. It suits vintage-style wallpaper, embroidered textiles, and dusky bedroom schemes.
