Olive
#837e31
This is the olive of brined fruit in a jar: a mid-dark yellow-green with a strong yellow component and a slight green tilt. It turns up in seven combinations and gets along especially well with warm pinks. Grenadine Pink and Corinthian Pink both play off it the way coral and khaki do in 1970s fashion, while Sulpher Yellow, a pale cream, lightens the mood and Antwarp Blue adds a crisp, cool counterweight. On white it reaches 4.2:1, good for headings though slightly under the body-text threshold; black on it sits at 5.0:1. It suits velvet upholstery, utility jackets, and printed scarves.
