Pale Burnt Lake
#802626
Pale Burnt Lake is a dark, brick-tinged maroon, its red lean strong and its yellow moderate, like the shade of burnt red clay or dark plum skins. Despite the 'pale' in its name it is one of the darker reds here. Yellow Ocher and Yellow Orange bring warmth and glow to it; Glaucous Green offers a cool, chalky contrast; and Grayish Lavender - A softens it with a powdery violet. White text on it reaches 9.4:1, comfortable at any size. It suits panelled studies, rugs and dark-ground chintz prints.
