Peacock Blue
#00939b
Peacock Blue is the most saturated teal in this part of the book, an intense blue-green like the sheen on a peacock's neck feathers. It appears in only two combinations, set against warm earths: Raw Sienna and Burnt Sienna turn it into a rich copper-and-verdigris pairing, and Orange Yellow makes it bright and festive. Its contrast against white is about 3.7:1, fine for large type but not small print, and black text on it is somewhat better. It works on velvet upholstery, glazed pottery and bold packaging.
