Rainette Green
#8fa071
Rainette is French for a tree frog, and Rainette Green has a soft, leafy sage tone, a bit more yellow than gray, like a lettuce leaf or an herb bed after rain. Spectrum Red gives it a bright, complementary punch; Old Rose and Lilac make the pairing gentle and garden-like; Pale Raw Umber, a coffee brown, grounds it in earthiness. At 2.8:1 on white it is not a text color, but black on it reads comfortably at 7.4:1. Its softness makes it useful for wallpaper grounds, cotton prints, and botanical illustration.
