Sea Green
#00b49b
Sea Green is a vivid jade, intensely green (a* near -49) with no yellow at all, which gives it the clean blue-green of shallow tropical water. It appears in eleven combinations and is repeatedly set against reds and corals. Peach Red and Grenadine Pink make it vibrate in a hot-cold clash; Hay's Russet and Vandyke Red, darker and browner, turn the effect richer and less shrill. At 2.6:1 on white it should not be used for text, while black on it reads at 8.0:1. It suits swimwear, glazed tiles, and bold packaging for drinks.
