Sulphine Yellow
#c19f2c
Sulphine Yellow is a deep mustard with a slightly dulled, brownish edge, darker than Olive Ocher and closer to aged brass or dried mustard seed. It is mostly paired with cool, pale blues and greens: Turquoise Green and Calamine BLue both make it look warmer and more golden by contrast, while Hydrangea Red adds a dusky rose that gives the group a vintage, faded-print quality. A 2.5:1 ratio on white keeps it out of text roles, but black type on it reads at 8.3:1. It suits printed cottons, retro tablecloths, and accent cushions on a gray sofa.
