Yellow Orange
#f99d1b
A juicy tangerine with plenty of yellow still in it, Yellow Orange appears in fourteen combinations and is most often matched with something dark. Dark Tyrian Blue turns it into lamplight against a night sky; Dusky Madder Violet gives a moody, plum-and-amber richness; Ivory Buff softens it into a warm, sunny pairing with little tension. Against white it reaches only 2.1:1, too weak for text in either direction, but black type on it reads at 9.9:1. It is strong enough to carry a whole logo and works well on enamel signs, kitchen textiles, and cover art.
