Hay's Russet and Dusky Madder Violet

Deep, brooding and wintry. Hay's Russet is a dark brick brown and Dusky Madder Violet a near-black plum, both so low in lightness that the effect is velvety rather than contrasting: mulled wine, dried figs, old leather. Neither carries text on the other. It belongs on chocolate wrappers, a whisky label, or a candlelit restaurant with brass fittings.
